Opening Ceremony
Opening ceremony started with the Dubai Police horse riders march past followed by the fantastic laser show. It was attended by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, HH Shaikh Hamdanbin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance and Industry as well as Sauid Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and a number of VIP's and top officials.
Prize money raised to $4 million
Under the directives of His Highness Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the prize money of Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship has been raised to $4 million for the next year's edition, making it the world's richest competition of its kind.
