Curtain falls on Dubai Shopping Festival at Zabeel Park
Closing ceremony of DSF 2006-2007 was held at Zabeel Park in presence of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, Shaikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Tecom, and Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman, Dubai World, and the members of DSF Supreme Committee. Shaikh Mayed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum presented the awards to journalists and photographers.

One World, One Family, One Festival
One World, One Family, One Festival is part of the pioneering vision of Shaikh Mohammad. DSF has become a global event that attracts millions of visitors from across the world especially GCC countries, Iran and Europe. Arab and foreign airlines increased their flights to Dubai to accommodate the visitors. Dubai hotels registered over 90 per cent occupancy rates. Shopping malls recorded 15-30 per cent increase in sales. Money exchange outlets recorded a 15 per cent increase; the cargo sector showed a 10 per cent increase; and the Global Village attracted more than 2.1 million visitors.
